News: Running the Paris Marathon for Simon: An appeal

One of our very own brilliant Simon Community volunteers Henry is running the Paris Marathon to raise money for the Simon Community. To support him, please read all about his appeal below, sponsor him and forward this message to your friends and family so we can help Henry reach his target of raising £2000 for the Community.

Hi everyone,

As some of you will know, I’m planning to run the Paris Marathon on April 15th – that’s a mere 14 weeks away and I can see that it’s going to be 14 intense weeks. On the Saturday just gone I ran 20 miles as part of my training and to say it was painfully difficult would be an understatement. I am running the marathon in order to help raise money for, the great charity we all love and adore, The Simon Community. I am still quite away from hitting my target of raising £2000 and so have turned to you - my fellow volunteers - to ask for your help. I appreciate January is a financially tough month for most of us but as the weather has been windy & wet and most of my training is in the dark after work, I really need some motivation to keep me going. If all of you can just spare a few quid and spread the word to your family and friends then we can reach the target together. Thank you.

-For more details and to sponsor me click here or sponsor me by texting IPJG76 followed by the amount you would like to give (ie IPJG76 £10) to 70070.

-If youd like to read more about my running please take a look at the article I wrote that featured in the Christmas edition of the Simon Star.

Thank you.

Henry
